Dem Doesn’t Think Trump Will Be Able To Handle Florence

Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA) expressed fear at how unprepared the government is for Hurricane Florence. This comes shortly after President Trump expressed his belief in how well they handled Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Connolly stated, “What we’re all worried about is the federal capability of response.”

Connolly stated, “If I’ve got a president who’s claiming success in Puerto Rico, I tremble at how well we’re organized to respond to this massive hurricane.”

CNN’s Jim Sciutto then asked, “The president said today that the east coast, in his words, ‘should be in great shape’ for Hurricane Florence. What did he mean there?”

Connolly responded, “Well, if he means by that the states are in pretty good shape, that’s probably accurate. What we’re all worried about is the federal capability of response.”

It wouldn’t matter if Trump flew every IDIOT (who INSISTS on living AT SEA LEVEL by the OCEAN, and running up sensible people’s insurance premiums, rebuilding seaside “dream homes” every few years when they are DESTROYED by the next hurricane) to Paris until the storm passes..AT HIS EXPENSE! And their pets! The Demwits like Booker & Maxipad would find SOMETHING objectionable to whiiiiine about!

This isn’t fake news. It isn’t NEWS at all. Just “olds.”

    • Ron Hanley

      right you are

  • Patrick Feeney

Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA) is full of crap. Typical Demoncrat!

    • GomeznSA

AYUP – he was that way as the Fairfax County Executive – which made him ‘perfect’ for moving up to representative – and NOT of the residents of Fairfax County. IOW he is just another water carrier for the democRAT agenda.
Full disclosure: I lived in Fairfax County and saw his ‘skills’ firsthand.

  • Diane Cherechinsky

THE GOVERNMENT HAS NEVER BEEN MORE PREPARED FOR FLORENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! QUIT PRINTING FAKE NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Al Wunsch

Dems never give up. They also never take care of their people. Puerto Rico was a disaster before the 2nd hurricane hit. As for VA, if it’s not ready then what’s Connelly doing? This is just more incompetent and sick 24/7 criticism by the dems.

    • GomeznSA

Al Wunsch – correct regarding PR – the infrastructure there was in total disarray – and had been for many years (decades) – they kept patching (and poorly at that) instead of refurbishing and/or replacing that infrastructure. Can you say graft and payoffs instead of actually doing what the (s)elected ‘officials’ were supposed to be doing. And it continued after – one example was the trucker’s union that DEMANDED 50 bucks an hour (minimum) to deliver tons of relief supplies that either rotted or got stashed in warehouses (probably STILL there until the political animals can figure out how to get their ‘cut’).

  • Frank Roza

I guess everything is Mr. Trumps fault, not!

  • JAMES L DEAL

PRESIDENT TRUMP WILL HANDLE THIS STORM THE “BEST WAY POSSIBLE”<!!!'

    • DonnaJean Schultz

      In
his short term so far he has handled 4 disasters malewady so what is so different now

  • easttexas

The demojackass needs to read the Constitution. It is the State’s responsibilkity, not the Federal government.

  • Irene Elizabeth Grooms

Irene Trump is very smart than these that want to destroy him.. I wish they would get a life and start helping him ( MAKE OUR COUNTRY GREAT AGAIN )

  • Wayne Peterkin

I have bad news for that fool. Trump does not need to “handle” Florence because it has never been the federal government’s responsibility to bail people out of a natural disaster. That’s what personal insurance along with emergency aid from local and state authorities are all for. At most, the feds might provide SBA low-interest LOANS to help qualified people rebuild, but not much more than that. Leave it to a Democrat to promote dependence on Uncle Sam for everything!

  • Robert Dimmock

He won’t stick his head up his rear end like the Democrats do.

  • David

At least we won’t find him on the golf course or off to some fund raiser when leadership is needed ala Obama.

  • Estell Newton

VA should be prepared to take care of themselves. It’s up to them first and then the federal government.

  • Mein kampf

SINCE WHEN DID THIS BECOME A COMPETITION BETWEEN GOVERNMENTAL PARTIES. THIS IS ABOUT THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AND MAKING SURE WE ARE THERE FOR THOSE WHO ARE AFFECTED BY THIS IMMINENT CATASTROPHE. THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS MAY NOT BE ENOUGH BUT THAT’S ALL I CAN AFFORD TO GIVE RIGHT NOW. THIS NATIONS DISASTERS AND CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS HAVE WIPED ME OUT.

  • Rick Alenn

I’m getting to the end of my rope with these peace of shit dems. The most arrogant narcissistic peaces of shit. Those ass holes in the media need a bloody nose, the ones in government need a long prison sentence for plotting and conspiring against the President of these United States.

“Democrat Gerry Connolly (D-VA) expressed fear at how unprepared the government is for Hurricane Florence.”
You Democrats always look to your all mighty, all powerful Gubment don’t you!!

Governor of Louisiana during KATRINA, Governor Kathleen Blanco
“On August 27, 2005, Governor Blanco, speaking about Hurricane Katrina, told the media in Jefferson Parish, “I believe we are prepared. That’s the one thing that I’ve always been able to brag about.” Later that day, she issued a request for federal assistance and USD $9 million in aid.”……Governor Kathleen Blanco DEMOCRAT!

Mayor of New Orleans during KATRINA, Mayor Ray Nagin
Mayor Nagin advised New Orleanians to keep a close eye on the storm and prepare for evacuation. He then made several public statements encouraging people to leave and advising that if they did not evacuate, “We will take care of you”.[24] By 10 a.m. Saturday, In accordance with the regional evacuation plan, New Orleans, along with the surrounding areas of Jefferson and St. Charles parishes, were given formal voluntary evacuation orders around 50 hours from landfall. Nagin had, however, ignored federal and state offers of help and a recommendation to evacuate the city.

Nagin’s most newsworthy comments – where he explained why he didn’t use hundreds of city school buses to evacuate his city’s flood victims – went almost unnoticed. Turns out, Nagin turned his nose up at the yellow buses, demanding more comfortable Greyhound coaches instead. “I need 500 buses, man,” he told WWL. “One of the briefings we had they were talking about getting, you know, public school bus drivers to come down here and bus people out of here.”
“I’m like – you’ve got to be kidding me. This is a natural disaster. Get every doggone Greyhound bus line in the country and get their asses moving to New Orleans.”

While Nagin was waiting for his Greyhound fleet, Katrina’s floodwaters swamped his school buses, rendering them unusable.”

In a speech on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 2006, Nagin, who is black, said: “It’s time for us to rebuild … a chocolate New Orleans,” adding that “This city will be a majority African-American city. It’s the way God wants it to be.”

In 2014, Nagin was convicted on twenty of twenty-one charges of wire fraud, bribery, and money laundering related to bribes from city contractors before and after Hurricane Katrina[3][4][5][6] and was sentenced to ten years in federal prison.[7][8]
    Mayor Ray Nagin DEMOCRAT!
